Foreigners who attempted to violate the state border of Azerbaijan detained
6 foreigners who attempted to violate the state border of Azerbaijan were detained, APA reports citing the State Border Service. On October 2, one citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran was detained at the service station of the Khudat border detachment, on October 4, two citizens of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, on October 3, two citizens of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the service station of the Shamkir border detachment, and on October 7, one citizen of the Syrian Arab Republic at the service station of the Nakhchivan separate border division.
During the investigation, it was established that the detainees intended to violate the state border and then emigrate to European countries.
Operational and investigative measures to identify the channel of illegal migration are ongoing.
