Transit of drugs from Iran to Bulgaria prevented

At the Shakhtakhty customs post of the Main Customs Administration of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the State Customs Committee (SCC), a truck that was in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan, transporting glass from Iran to Bulgaria, was inspected using a stationary X-ray machine. Due to the presence of suspicious images on the monitor, the vehicle was subjected to a thorough check, oxu.az reports with reference to the SCC.

During the inspection, 7 packages of marijuana with a total net weight of 1 kg 508.075 g and 24 packages of hashish with a total net weight of 7 kg 882.581 g were found hidden in a specially made compartment inside the sleeping berth in the cabin of the vehicle.

An investigation is underway into this fact.
