Afghan citizen who planned terrorist attack on embassy sentenced
A trial in the criminal case of Afghan citizen Favzan Musa Khan, accused of planning a terrorist attack, has ended in Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to APA. The verdict was announced at the trial chaired by Judge Shalala Hasanova in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes. According to the court’s verdict, Favzan Musa Khan was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a high-security correctional facility.
It was established that Favzan Musa Khan arrived in Azerbaijan from a foreign country with the intention of committing a terrorist attack during his stay in Baku, where he conducted surveillance near the embassy building of one of the countries in order to determine the coordinates of the embassy territory, established contacts with other persons to involve them in a terrorist attack, as well as with the aim of obtaining financial support for the acquisition of weapons and explosives.
