Another 5 people put on the international wanted list have been extradited from Russia to Azerbaijan

Another 5 people put on the international wanted list have been extradited to Azerbaijan, APA reports citing the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It is noted that in accordance with the requirements of the Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases” dated October 7, 2002, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation granted the petitions of the Prosecutor General’s Office to extradite citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Adilov Gadim Adil oglu, Israfilov Ilgar Etibar oglu, Garibov Namig Agakhan oglu, Huseynov Mahir Zahir oglu and Abbasov Vakhid Edilman oglu.

Due to the fact that grounds for suspicion of the commission of criminal acts by the said persons, stipulated by the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, were identified, decisions were made to bring them to justice as defendants and they were put on the international wanted list for hiding from the investigation.

The said persons were detained on the territory of the Russian Federation and, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, were delivered to Azerbaijan.
