The Main Directorate conducted an operation, 40 kg of narcotics were found

During the latest operations conducted by the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs, several members of an organized group were detained, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

In particular, previously convicted 45-year-old Bakhtiyar Fatullayev, 32-year-old Kanan Mammadov, 35-year-old Rovshan Jafarov and 44-year-old Nazim Galandarov were detained. During the search of their cars and houses, a total of 40 kg of heroin, marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, methamphetamines and 400 methadone tablets were found.

All of the detainees were key drug suppliers in Azerbaijan. Criminal cases have been initiated, the court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest for them.
