More than 37 million manats from agricultural exports returned to Azerbaijan
As a result of investigative measures, the prosecutor’s office ensured the return of more than 37.6 million US dollars from the sale of agricultural products abroad to the state’s bank accounts, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Based on the data of the State Customs Committee on the failure to return foreign exchange earnings by some business entities exporting various products abroad, the prosecutor’s office has initiated several criminal cases, which are undergoing a preliminary investigation.
As a result of measures taken by the prosecutor’s offices of the Shamkir, Astara, Ismayilli, Agsu and Zangilan districts, more than 37.6 million US dollars (over 63.9 million manats at the exchange rate of the corresponding period) have been returned to authorized bank accounts of Azerbaijan.
