Kindergarten director accused of half a million manat fraud placed under house arrest

Moon Kids kindergarten director Khavvahanim Rustamova, accused of large-scale fraud, has been placed under house arrest, oxu.az reports. The corresponding decision was made some time ago by the Baku Court of Appeal. Currently, the trial on the director’s criminal case has begun.

132 people and the State Social Protection Fund have been recognized as victims of H. Rustamova’s actions.

According to the information received, the total damage in H. Rustamova’s case is about 500,000 manat. At the same time, her relatives have compensated the overwhelming majority of the damage. For this reason, the kindergarten director was released under house arrest. Currently, damages in the amount of 43,000 manat remain unpaid. Nevertheless, some of the victims are dissatisfied. They are going to file a civil lawsuit.

H. Rustamova was brought to criminal responsibility by the Nizami District Prosecutor’s Office. A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for her.
