Police detain four fraud suspects

In Baku, the police carried out an operation against individuals involved in the purchase and sale of mobile phones and electronics for counterfeit currency, oxu.az reports with reference to Qafqazinfo. Thus, a resident of the capital contacted the police because four unknown individuals bought three mobile phones from him, paying $5,000 for them, which, as it turned out later, were counterfeit.

Employees of the 10th department of the Garadagh District Police Department identified and detained 41-year-old Elnur Ismayilov, 60-year-old Iraj Nasrullayev, 44-year-old Asif Veliyev and 33-year-old Ilham Mamedov, suspects of committing a criminal act.

An investigation is underway into this fact, the source of the counterfeit currency is being determined.
