Drug smuggling to Azerbaijan prevented
Drug smuggling to the Republic of Azerbaijan has been prevented, oxu.az reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service.
On December 22, 2024, at 03:25, as a result of the interaction of the Coast Guard units of the State Border Service Command and border vessels carrying out the task of protecting the state border, the smuggling of a large batch of drugs into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented.
During the inspection, 500 M-40 methadone tablets with a total weight of 745 grams, 23 kg 475 grams of marijuana, 270 grams of opium were found and seized.
Investigative measures are ongoing on this fact.
