Smuggling of a large consignment of drugs from Iran prevented

Azerbaijani border guards prevented the smuggling of more than 16 kg of drugs from Iran. This was informed to Report by the State Border Service.

The incident occurred on January 30 in the service area of ​​the Goytepe border outpost. A total of 16 kg 400 g of drugs (11 kg 300 g of marijuana, 5 kg 100 g of opium) and 1,990 M-40 methadone tablets were seized.

Investigative measures are ongoing on the fact.
