As a result of investigative measures, the prosecutor’s office ensured the return of $33 million from the sale of agricultural products abroad to bank accounts in Azerbaijan, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Based on the data of the State Customs Committee on the failure to return foreign exchange earnings by some business entities exporting various products abroad, the prosecutor’s office initiated several criminal cases, which are undergoing a preliminary investigation.

“As a result of measures taken by the prosecutor’s offices of the city of Shirvan, as well as the Gusar, Barda, Masalli, Tovuz, Siyazan, Sheki, Shabran and Gadabay districts, at present, $33 million (more than 56 million manats at the current exchange rate) have been returned to bank accounts in Azerbaijan,” the department notes.
