Man accused of employment fraud sentenced

A man accused of employment fraud at the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has been sentenced in the Binagadi District Court of Baku, Oxu.Az reports. Thus, during the hearing chaired by Judge Elchin Agayev, it was established that the defendant T.A., who presented himself as being connected to high-ranking officials, fraudulently took possession of 7,800 manat from the victim R.A.
R.A. intended to get a job at the Special Risk Rescue Service of the MES, and T.A. promised him assistance for 10,000 manat. The victim transferred the specified amount in parts, including part of the money near the administrative building of the MES. Realizing that he had been deceived, R.A. contacted law enforcement agencies.
At the trial, T.A. admitted his guilt and paid compensation for the damage. By the court’s decision, he was sentenced to restriction of freedom for a term of 2 years, 1 month and 28 days.
