Former heads of structures in the Ministry of Defense sentenced

The trial of the criminal case of the former head of the Housing Maintenance Department of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Elmar Mammadov and the former head of the capital and current repairs department of the same department, Rahim Lachinov, has ended, oxu.az reports. Today, the Baku Military Court, chaired by Judge Bilal Mammadov, read out the verdict, according to which E. Mammadov and R. Lachinov were sentenced to three years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of one year.

It should be noted that Elmar Mammadov and Rahim Lachinov were detained in August last year.

They were charged under Articles 179.4, 311.3.1, 341.2.3 and other articles of the Criminal Code. At the request of the Military Prosecutor’s Office, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for them.

During the investigation, they were charged under Article 341.2.3, and the preventive measure chosen for both of them was replaced with house arrest.
