Cases of illegal mining have been revealed in the Imishli and Absheron districts, resulting in damage to the environment in the amount of 628,000 manats, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.
During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that officials of the quarry owned by Azqum LLC at the Imishli sand and gravel deposit located in the Imishli district, and Rovshan Feyziyev and Anar Khalilov at the Guzdek limestone deposit located in the village of the same name in the Absheron district, abused their powers and seized land plots, carrying out illegal mining.
