Police detain drug dealers

In the Geychay district, the police detained several drug dealers, one of whom was armed, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. A large batch of drugs illegally imported into the country was seized from illegal circulation.

Employees of the Geychay District Police Department detained 43-year-old Rashad Babashov, previously convicted of similar crimes. More than 10 kg of drugs were seized from him, in particular 5 kg 525 g of marijuana, 2 kg 650 g of opium, 1 kg of hashish, about 500 g of heroin and 100 tramadol tablets.

In addition, a pistol was found on the drug dealer. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Babashov purchased drugs from an Iranian citizen for the purpose of further sale. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for the detainee.

In other operations, police detained drug trafficking organisers Royal Samedov, Rafig Ismailov and 15 others. Heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine were seized from them.
