The State Border Service prevented the smuggling of over 32 kg of drugs from Iran

Azerbaijani border guards prevented the smuggling of over 32 kg of drugs from Iran at the end of February. As the State Border Service told Report, the perpetrators were detained on the service territory of the Horadiz border detachment.

In particular, on February 19, a resident of the Fizuli district Elmeddin Mammadov (born in 1985) was detained with 10 kg 600 g of various types of drugs, and on February 26, a resident of the Imishli district Ahad Garayev (born in 2001), Beylagan district Najmeddin Mammadli (born in 2003), Sheki district Elchin Mamishov (born in 1973) and Mehman Muradov (born in 1973) with 22 kg of marijuana.

Investigative measures are ongoing on both incidents.
