A large batch of drugs seized at the Astara customs checkpoint

A large batch of drugs (marijuana) was found in a cargo vehicle at the Astara customs checkpoint, which they tried to hide from customs control under the guise of salad. This was reported to Report by the Press and Public Relations Department of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the information, the vehicle, which was transporting the “salad” from Iran to the Russian Federation in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan, was stopped at the import control line of the Astara customs checkpoint.

During the inspection on the stationary X-ray equipment, suspicious outlines were noticed in the cargo vehicle, after which a customs check was carried out with the involvement of a service dog.

As a result, 264 packages of marijuana with a total weight of 101 kilograms 732 grams were found hidden from customs control.

An investigation is underway into the fact.
