An internationally wanted person was delivered to Azerbaijan

Based on the petition of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the competent authorities of Georgia, in accordance with the requirements of the Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases” dated 22.01.1993, made a decision to extradite Azerbaijani citizen Ramil Mammadov, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It is noted that in the criminal case, the preliminary investigation of which was carried out in the prosecutor’s office of the Khazar district of Baku, reasonable suspicions were established that R. Mammadov committed a crime under Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in connection with which decisions were made to bring him in as an accused and put him on the international wanted list.

R. Mammadov was detained in Georgia and today delivered to Azerbaijan accompanied by a convoy of a special unit of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
