Is there a limit to the lawlessness?
IOLR received a letter signed by Mammadov (no initials) with the rhetorical question, which we publish verbatim, without any changes.
“Dear Sirs. It is enough to shake the air. Lawlessness, lawlessness, where is the limit, is there a limit to the lawlessness? Stupid questions. Lawlessness is that has no limit and now, it is already late. Then, why do angry, create websites, write a complaint to picket and hold meetings? And is it not better tacitly to bury in slush fund and slurp soup under phonogram of imported and local girls of second freshness?
It is not considered with us, not respected and not afraid; they use us as slaves, keep for fools. Steal, seize, cannot stuff, and those who raise voice kill or put in prison.
It’s about us Juvenal wrote: “These people had long since forgotten, and all the worries about the only two things restlessly dream: bread and circuses.”
Azerbaijan has turned into Sodom and Gomorrah, and all are forced to think of only a soup. Corruption and theft are everywhere. Oil is stolen, gold is stolen; everything are stolen. Roads, bridges and tunnels are built in order to steal easier and for show to the foreigners. Everything belongs to a bunch of thieves and crooks who hold public office and to live on one salary.
Customs, Ministry of Taxes, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Emergencies and others are working on corruption schemes, and not by law.
Army, police, security and the courts are against the people, not to protect them. Expensive villas and cars that cost millions, football clubs and expensive mistresses are for fathers and sons.
There is no any ministry or agency that is not engage in corruption. Corruption has become a way of life. Soldiers die of hunger and disease, and the generals are building huge villas with pools, where they keep the dolphins.
For millions bribes thieves and crooks are became the deputies. These “money” collects the main fighter against corruption.
Azerbaijan is probably the only country in the world where paying to not study.
The police and courts work only for bribes, at universities and schools are bribe, bribery is in hospitals, bribery is in all executive authorities, everything sales, and everything is for sale.
Media and show business turned into a sex industry in which is estimated communications with gangsters.
People are stolen and sold, each oligarch has own army, it is acting the state gang of killers, everybody is forced to pay tribute, and even sellers of seeds pay requisitions.
I write muddled, but the whole mess is impossible to describe.
Children are brought up in their own image, and which future can be expected. How seized power, then immediately became smarter and appeared talent. They are artists and singers and fashion designers. The lands were sold, and now earn on refugees. And the worst thing that they and their wives cannot be satisfied, perhaps they hope to take something with them to other world.
And under such circumstances, does anybody hope that just stop arbitrariness?
Public organizations, like yours, only think of where to get grants and are ready for it at all. Why do you trouble people and distract them from the real things. Because, and you work on order. You are all holes through which corrupt people release steam from people.
You write like British flags both and yours and ours. If you are for the people and for Azerbaijan, then call a spade and do not need to use this Aesop language. Or leave people alone in their slush funds.
If the Azerbaijani people will rely on such defenders as you and similar you, then will never get up from his knees. But, fortunately, the Azerbaijanis have their head. Azerbaijanis are very patient, but patience is finished. If you are for the people, not the rogues and scoundrels, then publish the letter”.
