How much does freedom cost?

25 February 2013 journalist Khadija Ismaylova was called to Binagadi District Department of execution of court decisions. There she was demanded to pay fine in amount of 400 manat for participation at unsanctioned protest action.

Kh. Ismaylova refused in writing to pay fine, declaring that she considers a decision of the court illegal, based on trumped-up testimonies of policemen.

According to article 306 of Criminal Code, non execution of the court decision is punished up to 2 years imprisonment.
