The best defence is attack and demagogy

The head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev made accusations against foreign NGOs in non-core activities and interference in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan.

“At present, the Ministry of Justice has registered more than 100 international NGOs. But there are not registered ones, and actually NGOs whose work raises a number of issues”, said Mehdiyev to the AzerTac, a state news agency.

Mehdiyev also doubts about the accounts of registered NGOs. Because of the dismal state of their financial reports it is not known where most of the grants and donations from foreign donors go, stated Mehdiyev.
