Deputies of the European parliament are woke up

Members of the European parliament Ulrike Lunacek and Werner Schulz sent a message to the president, speaker of Parliament and the head of the MFA of Azerbaijan calling to stop the suppression of freedom in the country.

“We are watching with great concerns for the last events, facts of arrests of oppositionists, legislation restrictions for NGO’s and political parties’ activities, and even the prohibitions to hold trainings in Azerbaijan”.

Democracy, supremacy of law, freedom of speech and assemblies and media are the basic values of the Eastern Partnership program and these are not simple words written on the paper, it should be applied”, – said in the message.
