Rustam Ibrahimbekov vs. Ali Hasanov

On June 3 at 10.00, the Sabail court will examine a claim for defamation. The lawsuit was submitted by a playwright and social activist Rustam Ibrahimbekov, informed to Turan agency a lawyer of the plaintiff Fuad Agayev.

The basis for the claim was an interview with Ali Hasanov by the APA agency APA, in which he called Ibrahimbekov unprofessional and accused him of seeking to build a restaurant and entertainment establishment near the Alley of Martyrs.

According to the lawyer, the court did not want to entertain a claim for ridiculous reasons. The refusal was appealed and the case went to the Supreme Court, after which the claim was accepted for consideration on the merits.
