New old Supervisory Council for Media Support Fund

President Ilham Aliyev once again appointed Vugar Safarli executive director of the state support fund of the media under the Azerbaijani President. The head of the state also formed the composition of the Supervisory Board of the Fund.

From government appointed chief of department on work with the bodies of Press and Information Department of the socio-political issues of the Presidential Administration Vugar Aliyev, head of the Human Rights and Public Relations of the Ministry of Justice Faiq Gurbanov, and the chief consultant of the analytical study and the software of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Intiqam Gumbatov .

From the media the council includes the chief editor of the “525th newspaper” Rashad Majid, the chief editor of “Iki Sahil” Vugar Rahimzadeh, and the editor in chief of the newspaper “Azerbaijan” Bakhtiyar Sadigov.

From journalistic organizations the council has been appointed chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashev, the head of the Professional Union of Journalists Mushvig Aleskerli, and head of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzoev.

Fund of State Support for media development projects funded publications. The main beneficiaries of the fund are pro-government newspaper.
