The trial of counterfeiters

On July 8, 2013 in Baku Court for Grave Crimes completed the trial of P. Salmanov, R. Suleymanov and F. Garayeva, which were accused under articles 204.3.2 (acquisition for the purpose of sale or sale of counterfeit foreign currency in the large size) 234.4.1, 234.4.3 (illegal acquisition or possession for sale, manufacture, production, processing, transport, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances in large scale group of persons by prior conspiracy or by an organized group) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

On Decision of the court R. Suleymanov and P. Salmanov were sentenced to 8.5 years, and F. Garayeva – 8 years imprisonment.

Accused persons were detained during a special measures made by the Nizami District of Police of Baku city. During the search it were founded and seizure 113 banknotes on 100 manats and 51 ones on 50 manats. In addition, it was established that detained individuals were involved in drug trafficking.
