Arrested 12 years later

Announced internationally wanted by the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan, Mehdiyev N.M., 12 years later was arrested in Kazakhstan. He is accused of the contract killing; APA is reported quoting the police department. According to the report, the man was wanted since 2001. The information was also posted on the website of Interpol.

As a result of operational activities carried out by officers of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan and the Police Department of Sumgayit city, N. Mehdiyev was arrested in Astana (Kazakhstan). Currently, steps are being taken to his extradition to Azerbaijan.
