Combat to drug trafficking

As part of efforts to combat drug trafficking in the first half of the year was seized 350 kg of drugs, which is 33 kg more than the amount seized during the same period last year.

This was the Deputy Minister, Police Lieutenant General V. Eyvazov noted at the Wednesday’ meeting of the board MIA on the results of the fight against crime, the protection of public order and public safety in the first half of this year and the upcoming challenges, reports Trend agency.

According to V. Eyvazov during the reporting period as part of the fight against drug trafficking were neutralized 28 criminal groups consisting of 73 people. Along with this was prevented smuggling into the country 33.5 kg of drugs, and was destroyed by 177.6 tons of narcotic plants.
