MIA reports the results in first half of 2014

In the first half of 2014 on the subjects of operational-investigative activity was recorded 12,231 crimes, is reported by APA  with reference to press-service of  the MIA.

“92 percent of them were offenses investigated by internal affairs agencies and prosecutors. Also, 87.2 % of them were crime not representing public danger or less serious, 12.8 % of them were serious and especially heinous crimes”. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant-General Vilayat Eyvazov said at the enlarged board meeting.

He noted that as a result of preventive measures on 24 towns and districts have been reported reducing the number of serious and very serious crimes. Overall, crimes against persons decreased by 5.4 %, targeted killings by 13.8 %, intentional infliction of serious damage to health by 5.7 %. At the same time, the number of crimes committed by organized groups decreased by 62 % in public places 13 % of group crimes – 8 % of teenagers’ crimes by 2.5 %.

Eyvazov stressed that the level of crime detection was 80.1 %. Disclosure of serious and very serious crimes that occurred in non-obvious conditions decreased by 71 %. On “hot pursuit” was uncovered 594 crimes. The joint actions of the prosecutor’s office and the Interior revealed 241 crimes, including 54 serious and very serious. As a result, response activities on information received at the service of “102” were prevented thousands five offenses, criminal cases filed in 1573.

According to the Deputy Minister for the reporting period in the judicial proceedings were brought 4461 people have committed various crimes, including 1037 people have committed serious and heinous crimes. 1,125 evading investigation and trial were detained. Overall, 52.3 percent achieved detention wanted.

As a result of comprehensive measures to combat against organized crimes, 114 criminal groups, committed 286 serious and very serious crimes, were neutralized. At the same time of the turnover in 2267 was seized counterfeit notes totaling 98,000 manat 71 people illegally treasured and worn firearms were prosecuted.

As a result of measures to combat drug trafficking and human trafficking 1743 crimes were identified, neutralized 27 criminal groups consisting of 90 people. Also was seized 373 kilograms of drugs. Was provided reintegration into society of 39 persons affected by trafficking.

For various offenses 619,148 protocols was drawn by the internal affairs. As a result, 573,696 people were fined, 1786 people were arrested judiciary, and 22,187 people were issued warnings.

Over this period, structures and services of the Ministry in the machine and regions of the country were taken over 3 thousand people. Most of the issues were resolved on the spot, were investigated application for further consideration.

Eyvazov noted that during the 6 months of this year the number of appeals to the Ministry fell by 3.8 per cent, complaints of unlawful actions by police at 11.7 % of complaints in the Bush administration – by 9 %.
