The Court rejects of Khadija Ismailova petition

On 26.12.2014 the Sabail District Court of Baku city has rejected the petition of the journalist Khadija Ismailova to change the measure of restraint and release her under house arrest, contact.az reports.

According to the lawyer Elton Guliyev, the defense declined the judge Elshad Shamayev, who decided to arrest Ismailova.

“We do not believe that the judge that made the decision to arrest her will now take a fair decision. Khadija Ismailova at the trial said that the decision on her arrest or release is not accepted in court. However, the struggle for the rights of Khadija will continue and the decision will be appealed,” the lawyer said.
