Materials on Rasul Jafarov’s criminal case sent to court

The material on the criminal case of imprisoned chairman of Human Rights Club, human right defender Rasul Jafarov’s criminal case was lodged to Baku Court of Grave Crimes APA reports with reference to a lawyer Fariz Namazli. The criminal case will soon be accepted for examination. R. 

Jafarov was arrested on August 2, 2014. After interrogation at the Investigation Department on Grave Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office, he was convicted of illegal entrepreneurship, tax evasion, and abuse of official powers.

The Nasimi District Court sentenced him to pre-trial detention.

During the interrogation, Rasul Jafarov was convicted on the Criminal Code’s articles 178.3.2 (fraud) and 313 (falsification of documents).
