Prosecutor General’s Office revealed construction fraud

The Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General has investigated Khatai District Court’s special judgment on the illegal actions of the director of “AENT-E” Ltd, with reference to the press-service of the Prosecutor General’s Office haqqin.az reports.

The investigation revealed reasonable suspicions that director Akbar Jafarov abused his power, embezzled an amount of AZN 166.500 selling the same apartment in multi-storey building of “AENT-E” Ltd in Khatai district to several persons and signing fake documents. A criminal case has been launched under the Criminal Code’s articles 178.3.2 (swindle), 179.3.2 (misappropriation – in large size), 308.1 (Abusing official powers) and 320.1 (falsification, preparation, selling of fake documents or using fake documents).

The investigation is underway on the criminal case.
