During the operation in the Narimanov district of Baku, 5 drug couriers and an armed man were detained, APA reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Employees of the Narimanov District Police Department detained Tehran Ismaiylov, Elchin Mamiyev, Yusif Yusifzade and Melik Azimov, who were the main persons involved in drug trafficking in Baku.
They were found to have 9 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. About 10 kg of drugs were found and seized from circulation from other people detained during the events.
During another operation, a Makarov pistol was discovered and confiscated from Parviz Ibiyev, who was detained for illegally carrying firearms. Based on the facts, criminal cases have been initiated in the Narimanovsky District Police Department under various articles, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest has been chosen against the detainees.
