In the Khazar district of Baku, 100 thousand manats were stolen from a foreigner’s car, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Employees of the Khazar district police department detained Rufat Bekirov, born in 1978, suspected of committing theft.

During the investigation, it was established that R. Bekirov is the driver of the victim. On July 25, he stole 100 thousand manats from the 700 thousand manats in the car.

A criminal case has been opened into the matter and the investigation is ongoing.

The former head of the Housing Construction Department of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Elmar Mammadov, was arrested, Report informs. He was detained by the Military Prosecutor’s Office as part of an ongoing criminal case.

Based on the presentation of the military prosecutor’s office at the trial chaired by Judge Fikret Aliyev in the Baku Military Court, a preventive measure was chosen against him in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months.
