Azerbaijani National Security Ministry on results of combat to illegal drugs in 2014

The Ministry of National Security in 2014 year carried out necessary actions to neutralize organized criminal groups and different individuals engaging in the smuggling of drugs and psychotropic substances, informs APA with reference to the Azerbaijani government’s 2014 annual report.

In 2014, 297 kg of drugs and psychotropic substances, including 183kg heroin, were seized from those persons.

34 criminal cases overall were launched over these facts. 69 Azerbaijani citizens and 3 Russian nationals were detained.
