Charged in swindling

Adil Huseynov is now detained in the Interior Ministry’s Main Department for Combating Organized Crime, reports APA with reference to Adil Huseynov’s lawyer Kamandar Nasibov.

Agency said that a criminal case has been launched against him under article 178.3.2 (swindle with causing damage in large size) of the Criminal Code.

His apartment was raided, but he was not imprisoned in remand. Huseynov was detained over the fact that the foreign company he runs in Dubai owes money to a bank, told APA with reference to the lawyer.

His lawyer said that he has no information about him being the head of the International Bank’s Dubai branch.

Note that, Huseynov is the son of late police officer Fatulla Huseynov, killed by a gang headed by former chief operating officer of the Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov who was imprisoned for life.
