Arrested a gang of counterfeiters

In result of operative action made by the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Police Department of Baku have been detained a member of criminal gang – Amin Mirza oglu Abysheva (born 1980),  Beylagan town habitant. 79,600 counterfeit US dollars were seized from him, haqqin.az reporst haqqin.az with reference to the Main Department of Police in Baku.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the counterfeit money Abyshev was exchanged for manat. This idea came to criminals in the head on the background of the crisis emerged in Azerbaijan in foreign currencies, particularly dollars. Taking advantage of the moment, a resident of the capital Vugar Abbasov Vasif oglu (born 1976) and Tahir Ali oglu Rustamov (born in 1977), a Georgian citizen, organized the smuggling of counterfeit dollars from Iran to Azerbaijan. To do this, they contacted the Iranian citizen named Amiraga. January 29, 2016 the latter sent the money through the Azerbaijani-Iranian border on the territory of Astara.

Abbasov V. and Rustamov T. have been arrested. 1100 counterfeit dollars were seized from them during a search.

Portal notes that made in Iran false dollars are good quality, and it is difficult to distinguish them from the real ones.
