Sentenced a former deputy defense minister

On 22 April, 2016 Baku Court of Grave Crimes completed the trial over the case of Mehman Salimov, a former deputy defense minister of Azerbaijan, who is charged with embezzlement and abuse of power, APA reports.

Salimov was sentenced by the court to 8 years in prison.  

Earlier, a state prosecutor had demanded to sentence Salimov 10 years in prison.
