Results combat to contraband for July 2017

Last month, there were detained 39 violators of the state border. APA was told in the press service of the State Border Service. Among them are 22 citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic who violated the border, 5 – Uzbekistan, 2 – the Islamic Republic of Iran, 2 – Tajikistan, 2 – Bangladesh, and 1 citizen from Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Congo.

For breach of the rules of the state border regime in 1151 cases were detained 1522 people.

As a result of measures on combat to crime, law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan detained 398 wanted people.

As a result of measures taken during the month to combat illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, 95 kg were found and seized. 740.8 g. of narcotic drugs.

As part of measures to combat smuggling, smuggling was seized for 4 million 579 thousand 256 manat, including 1 air pistol, 1 gas pistol, 2 hunting rifles, 174,000 US dollars, 7 kg gold bar, 4.87 kg of silver, 148.045 Leeches, 5 boats, 5293 boxes with pyrotechnics, 13720 packs of cigarettes, 268 mobile phones, 1012 various medicines, spirits, industrial and agricultural goods.
