The Prosecutor General’s Office reported on the fight against corruption

“During the first half of 2017, the General Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General examined appeals of 3,656 citizens.” That was said by Kamran Aliyev, a head of the General Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, said at press conference on 17 July 2017.

According to him, 125 criminal materials were investigated. In connection with 75 of them, criminal cases were instituted, according to 50 materials, acts of the prosecutor’s response were compiled, and 29 officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility.

K. Aliyev said that during the first half of 2017, 103 criminal cases against 133 officials working in the public and private sectors were sent to the courts upon completion of the investigation.
