Named the number of audits conducted for the current year, the cases on which were transferred to the prosecutor’s office

Over the past 4 months of 2022, 23 measures of external state financial control have been launched, and their number will be increased during the year, APA reports quoting Chairman of the Accounts Chamber Vugar Gulmammadov.

According to the chairman, among them are not only financial audits, compliance and efficiency audits, but also analytical studies and monitoring. In total, about 50 control measures are planned to be carried out during the year.

The Chairman of the Accounts Chamber said that in world practice, supreme audit institutions are bodies that play a special role in the field of combating corruption, and the Accounts Chamber continued its activities in this direction and in the reporting year materials on two audits conducted under the Work Plan in 2021 handed over to prosecutors. Also, the results of two audits conducted this year have already been submitted to law enforcement agencies.
