Members of the criminal financial pyramid appeared before the court

The Baku Court forGrave Crimes held a preparatory hearing on the criminal case of Gabil Badalov, the head of Crowd-1, as well as Amin Huseynov, Alovsat Mazandarov, Sabakhir Farzaliyev, Yasin Amirli and Goychek Dunyamaliev, accused of creating a financial pyramid and embezzling money from citizens, haqqin.az reports.

So, in the course of the trial, the personal data of the accused were clarified. The trial is scheduled for May 11, 2022.

As a result of operations carried out by employees of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in November last year, the perpetrators of the Crowd-1 fraud scheme, which has become widespread in the country, were identified. As part of the organization of an international fraudulent pyramid in relation to Gabil Badalov and 5 other people, operational and technical measures were taken, evidence of the criminal activities of the group was collected. Badalov and other members of the criminal group – Amin Huseynov, Alovsat Mazandarov, Sabakhir Farzaliyev, Yasin Amirli and Goychek Dunyamaliev were soon detained and taken to the Main Directorate, where they admitted in their initial testimony that Crowd-1 was a financial pyramid scheme. During the inspection of their offices in Baku and Ganja, electronic evidence relevant to the case was found and seized.
