National coordinator: Human trafficking is one of the most dangerous types of transnational crimes

At today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s National Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant General Seyfulla Azimov said that human trafficking, which violates fundamental human rights and freedoms, is one of the most dangerous types of transnational crimes, APA reports. .

The National Coordinator said that action should be taken against this, both at the regional and global level. He noted that Azerbaijan continues to take measures to prevent crimes of human trafficking. The relevant legislative framework in this area was also improved in 2021.
