M. Makhmudov sentenced to 14 years in prison

The trial on the criminal case of businessman Magsud Mahmudov detained in Ukraine and extradited to Azerbaijan has completed, APA reports.

At the meeting of the Baku Court for Grave Crimes, chaired by Judge Faig Ganiyev, the accused delivered his last word. Magsud Mahmudov admitted that he had used obscene language against the singers Vasif Maharramli and Afet Farmangyzy, and stated that he did not regret what he had done. At the same time, he stated that he did not accept the charges brought against him in connection with the episode with the pawnshop.

Then, at the trial, a judgement was announced, according to which Magsud Mahmudov was found guilty on the charges and sentenced to 14 years in prison.

In addition, the private residential house of Magsud Mahmudov in the territory of the Yasamal district and a land plot with a total area of ​​2400 sq.m. in the Sabail region are subject to confiscation to the state revenue.
