95 people detained in operations against drug traffickers

Employees of the Surakhani district police department over the past week during the operations carried out detained 95 people involved in drug trafficking, the Ministry of Internal Affairs told the report.az Internet portal, criminal cases were initiated on all the facts found in the investigative department of the department.

With regard to 80 detainees, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was applied by a court decision, 15 – in the form of police supervision. In total, 21 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were found in their possession. 11 of the detainees were directly involved in drug control in Surakhani and other parts of the capital.

During the operations carried out by the employees of the Surakhani district police department during this period, 14 members of 9 criminal groups were detained who committed a series of thefts from houses, shops, payment terminals, libraries located in the villages of Hovsan, Garachukhur, Amirjan and Yeni Guneshli, as well as who stole elevator parts from buildings. It was established that these persons stole money, gold jewelry, etc. from 36 houses and objects located in these territories.

For each of the facts in the Surakhani District Police Department, an investigation is ongoing.
