Drug courier detained in Yardimli region

A drug courier who was trying to transport a large consignment of drugs from the Yardimli region to Baku has been detained, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thus, as a result of an operation carried out by the Yardimli district police department, Novruz Khabibov, a resident of the Masalli district, previously convicted under several articles of the Criminal Code, was detained in the district. When examined in the trunk of his Chevrolet car, more than 4 kg of marijuana was found and seized.

During the investigation, it was found that N. Khabibov was supposed to deliver the drug, which he ordered online from an Iranian citizen, to Baku for further sale.

On this fact, an investigation is being carried out in the Yardimli Regional Police Department.
