Extortionist wanted by Interpol from Azerbaijan detained

A man wanted by Interpol was detained in Moscow on March 21. APA reports with reference to REN TV that he is suspected of extortion. He was detained by traffic police officers when he was driving his car.

The detention took place in the Khovrino area. Orientation on the suspect came from the Interpol of Azerbaijan, from Baku. There, the man is suspected of violating the law on operational-search activities and extortion in order to seize property in a significant amount. Moreover, the information that the man criminally used, he received with the help of wiretapping.

The man was placed under preliminary arrest.
