A person who was on the international wanted list detained

Former investigator of the Binagadi district prosecutor’s office Adil Gadirov (born 1958), who was on the international wanted list, was detained, oxu.az reports citing APA and the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The wanted man was detained during the activities carried out by the police and handed over to the investigation.

A. Gadirov was found guilty in 2014 under Article 179.2.3 (misappropriation or embezzlement committed by a person using his official position) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Since A. Gadirov left Azerbaijan, an appeal was sent to Interpol about his capture.
