Fraud suspect detained

Officers of the Shirvan City Police Department, as a result of operational activities, detained a local resident Anar Aliyev, suspected of fraud and wanted on charges of this act, oxu.az reports with reference to the regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the investigation, it was established that A. Aliyev embezzled a total of more than 70,000 manats from 25 citizens, promising to assist them in assigning sickness and disability pensions, as well as restoring suspended pensions.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact. By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against Anar Aliyev.
