Detained extortionists who demanded a large amount of money from the entrepreneur

Extortionists have been detained in Baku, demanding 100,000 manats from a businessman and deliberately burning his car, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the operation carried out by the officers of the 13th police department of the Sabunchu district police department, members of the criminal group Jeyhun Abdullayev, Nurlan Mammadov and Ruslan Abdullayev were detained, extorting money from the owner of one of the restaurants located in the Sabunchu district of the capital. During the investigation, it was established that Nurlan Mammadov, at the direction of Jeyhun Abdullayev, called the victim from a mobile phone number registered in one of the foreign countries and demanded 100,000 manats from him. Since the entrepreneur did not comply with this illegal demand, they colluded with another member of the gang, Ruslan Abdullayev, and organized the arson of the Lexus car, which belonged to the victim, in front of his house in the village of Bakikhanov.

The materials collected at the police station were transferred to the Sabunchu District Police Department, the investigation into this fact continues.
