Delivery of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

The State Border Service prevented the smuggling of narcotic drugs with a total weight of 21 kilograms 745 grams from Iran to Azerbaijan, Report informs citing the press center of the State Border Service.

On July 2, 2023, at 03:05, on the territory of the Frontier Outpost Service of the Goytepe frontier detachment, located near the village of Garavuldash, Yardimli region, the importation of 5 kilograms 870 grams of narcotic drugs into Azerbaijan was prevented.

On July 3, 2023, at 13:30, as a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the Goytepe border detachment near the village of Yusifli, Jalilabad district, 10 kilograms 480 grams of narcotic drugs were found and seized.

On July 4, 2023, at 00:45, on the territory of the Frontier Outpost Service of the Horadiz Border Detachment, located near the village of Gazakhlar, Fizuli region, the transfer of 5 kilograms 395 grams of narcotic drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented.

Based on these facts, operational and investigative measures are ongoing.
